miss Camp Justice 2017, a fun event in support of Snohomish County Legal
Services including delicious dinner, new friends, auctions, dancing to live
music from local funk band BroHamM,
and other “camp” activities. The event will be held at beautifully rustic
Floral Hall in Forest Park (Everett) on Saturday, May 13, starting at 5:00 pm.

In
Snohomish County, thousands of low-income and working families face civil legal
problems without legal help with devastating consequences. The 2015 Washington State Supreme Court Civil
Legal Needs Study found that 70% of those living in poverty in Washington
State experience at least one civil legal problem per year, and the average
number of problems per household is nine – from domestic violence to housing
instability to crippling debt issues. Civil legal aid programs like SCLS have
been proven to make a difference in the lives of those struggling with poverty
who are able to access help. SCLS helped over 1,600 individual clients in
2016, a 124% increase from 2009, but there are still thousands more
families in need. SCLS helps make access to justice a reality – access that
would not be possible without the support of the community. Learn more about
