About
This two-part grant writing workshop helps you perfect your ability to craft proposals that effectively & successfully deliver your organization’s message to potential funders.
Session Two begins with a review of the writing assignment then deep dives into the gnarly challenges that face all grant writers at one time or another, from hitting the right balance between data and client stories to sharing bad news to slicing and dicing your grant application to fit what can be extremely limiting character counts found in online grant applications. You’ll also cover budgets and the myriad of attachments often required in a grant application and progress reports/follow-ups with funders.
Presented by Debra Jensen, a Seattle area nonprofit consultant and freelance grant writer, this hands-on workshop is designed for those newer to grant writing and those with some experience but offers tips and tricks of benefit to any grant writer. Benefiting from Jensen’s unique background as a longtime corporate grant maker, grant writer, and writer/editor, each session includes brief writing exercises.
